Role Overview
Are you passionate about shaping the next generation of change makers and digital innovators? Purpose in Motion (PIM) is seeking a mission-driven and experienced professional to serve as a mentor for our Tech4Good program. As a Tech4Good Mentor, you will travel to different countries to guide and support student teams in developing innovative projects aimed at addressing real-world social challenges. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable experience in an international setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to different countries to guide and support student teams in developing their projects, where participants will learn to think creatively about leveraging their skills and talents to create new businesses or level up existing ones.
- Join preparatory calls and onboarding sessions to familiarize oneself with the program structure, participant backgrounds, and project goals
- Update and maintain PowerPoint slides and other presentation materials (icebreakers, team-building activities, and interactive exercises) to ensure they reflect the latest program information, learning objectives, and resources.
- Facilitate sessions in-person, utilizing prepared materials and icebreakers, to foster discussions, share insights, and guide participants in their project development process.
- Answer students’ questions and provide guidance on project ideation, problem-solving, and implementation strategies.
- Help program participants be exposed to the Sustainable Development Goals and be empowered to use technology to address one of the SDGs.
- Contribute to creating and delivering program assessments for proper evaluation of program impact.
- Assist with culminating event activities and other general program requirements as needed to ensure the successful execution of the program.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of work experience in tech/sustainability/entrepreneurship or related areas OR 2+ years of facilitation/coaching experience.
- Passionate about sustainable development and youth empowerment.
- Responsible, patient, and committed.
- Fluent in spoken English.
- Professionalism and flexibility to deal with changes.
- Passport/visa ideally suited for traveling in the region.
Expected Time Commitment
This is a contract role that runs for one month with a possibility of renewal after the program completes. The mentor is also expected to stay in the designated country for eight days. Each cohort requires full-time commitment during the 6-day program, with an average of 4 hours of teaching per day in addition to preparation, communication with students, completing student evaluations, and class delivery.

Mentors will be assigned to one of the following programs and designated countries.
- Johannesburg, South Africa
- Program will be June 24-30. Mentor will be needed June 22-June 30.

Program will be July 1-7. Mentor will be needed June 29-July 7. -
Latin America (either Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, or Panama)
Program will be July-August -
Agadir, Morocco
Program will be around July 15th -
Tashkent, Uzbekistan
Program will be July-August -
Nanning, China
Program will be in October
Compensation
An honorarium and travel stipend will be provided.
